Your Ferry Trip
We don’t require bookings and operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Allow yourself ample time before the departure.
However, if your party is over 6 people and you wish to secure your seats in advance, please text 07707 686 893 or email us with your name, preferred date, time, and number of passengers. Please be advised we need at least 3 working days notice Monday-Friday.
Fares: £6 one-way £9 return
Passengers aged under 12 months sail free
For larger groups, please reach out to us in advance so we can ensure everything is perfectly arranged for you.

After your peaceful ferry ride, enjoy a meal or drink at The Turf Hotel, where fresh local cuisine and stunning riverside views await. For larger groups, we recommend contacting The Turf directly to arrange your table booking or event.
How to find us
The ferry departs from Trout’s Boatyard, Ferry Road, Topsham EX3 0JJ. Please wait outside the gate, near the benches, until we collect you close to departure time. At The Turf, find us at the far end of the garden. Please wait at the top of the pontoon, next to the information board.

Bird watching
We work closely with the RSPB to organise bird watching cruises for the public. Avocet cruises are available from October to March and have proven to be very popular.
